1 1/2 cups water
1 (6-oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup brown raisins
2 Tbsp. stone-ground mustard
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
3/4 tsp. granulated garlic
3/4 tsp. granulated onion
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend for 1-2 minutes,
until smooth. Pour into a saucepan.
On medium heat, bring to just almost boiling then reduce to a
low simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve hot or cold.
Makes about 2 cups.
